About the Client
YidCards is an eCommerce based in New York and has made mailing invitations simple with their web platform. There e invitation cards are easy to customise with real-time card customization feature. Be it e invitation for marriage or an e card invitation for any occasions and events, they have variety of e invitation card design to choose from. The user can select, personalise, and email it to their friends and family.
Project Objectives
A rudimentary prototype for purchasing cards was produced by Yidcards. They wanted to build it an advanced application with a lot of features connected to invitation and contact management for clients. Furthermore, the designs were not tailored to the needs of the customer and were not user-friendly. As a result, the contact management system had to be completely redesigned in order to improve the customer experience and usability.
The Challenge
The client had an existing contact management software on which new features and designs were to be added; Bytes needed to ensure that adding new code for new functionality did not damage or break old codes in order to avoid any mistakes. It was also necessary to manage the deployment with as little downtime as possible on the live server. Furthermore, there were a few intricate and tough elements that were difficult to execute in a straightforward manner. For instance, building contact groups, implementing the RSVP functionality and associated answer template from the invitee’s perspective, issuing invitations to particular groups exclusively, and managing duplicate contacts for each group.
The Solution
To avoid the system breaking down while adding new features, Bytes set up the project on a local server and researched the existing features as well as the scripts to familiarise himself with the system. By doing so, the Bytes were able to avoid breaking the system while introducing new features. In addition, the engineers at Axon Computers Consulting established the business logic utilising the ER Diagram, Wireframing, the appropriate 3rd party JS libraries, and customizations with MEAN stack development to achieve the complicated and hard features. Furthermore, Bytes was able to achieve the finest web app speed and performance by adhering to coding standards and best development practises.
