An esteemed food-tech company in Ghana (Africa) focused to transform the food and restaurant industry via revolutionary digital solutions. The client wanted to design and develop a personalized mobile app with intuitive UI/UX that helps both, the restaurants and app users. A large scope of growth in the digitalization of food and restaurant services had been the key.
To make it easy for app users and increase the outreach, our business experts suggested developing this restaurant finder app in native iOS and native Android platforms. A subscription-based revenue model was pitched to the client, wherein the users can purchase the membership and get discount codes that they can redeem while dining at partnered restaurants.
The restaurants will have a scanner app that scans the user’s QR code, checks, and verifies the discount amount. A web panel was meant to be developed for restaurants to manage their menu, staff, content, offers, etc. with a backend system.
Simplifying complex system architecture, customized feature requirements, user-friendly app navigation, driving the app users to buy subscriptions, keeping customer experience intact via creating responsive, engaging, and intuitive UI/UX app designs- every single thing was critical for the app success. This required teamwork, sheer resilience, design brilliance, patience, and business acumen.
Another tricky area that demanded our expertise was the first face-off with “expressPay”, the only payment gateway in Ghana, supposed to be integrated with Airtel Money & MTN mobile money.
The architect and UI/UX experts remained closely collaborated with the client initially to brainstorm and craft a user-friendly design that defines a perfect navigational experience. Whether it could be the food menu, information, updates, or promotional activities, the app users can access any corner with only a couple of taps.
For expressPay payment integration, the expert mobile dev team reached out to the expressPay support team to understand technical details. The payment integration was successfully done along with the implementation of a custom payment module for recurring payments in the case of subscription renewals.
