Our client had this awesome idea of creating a gamified lifestyle app that turns daily life into an opportunity for users to earn rewards. The goal was to design an app that gives points and Centz rewards to users who participate in healthy activities like walking, adventure, and exploration. Afterwards, users would be able to use the earned Centz for local online offers and deals.
The main goal was to develop a cross-platform health and fitness app that would reward users for engaging in healthy activities, exploring, and staying active. Additionally, the client aimed to incorporate various fitness trackers such as Apple Health, Google Fit, FitBit, and Samsung Health. Furthermore, they sought to integrate a marketplace within the app, enabling users to use Centz for buying products or redeeming nearby offers. The app was supposed to be motivating users to achieve their daily goals in order to attain specific products.
One of the most significant challenges involved collecting and integrating data from various fitness apps and trackers. Additionally, obtaining data from Google Fit posed difficulties due to usage restrictions imposed on the data provided by Google.
In the case of Samsung Health, users were required to register themselves initially to enable activity tracking. With these hurdles, implementing the marketplace and local services posed another challenge.
Our developers successfully created the app within the designated timeframe. They were skillful enough to handle the retrieval of data from APIs of various fitness apps and trackers, including Samsung Health, Apple Health, FitBit, and Google Fit. The team also accomplished the integration of a marketplace, allowing users to utilize their earned Centz from activities like walking or sleeping. Lastly, the team also helped the client in successfully launching the app in the market.
