About the Client
The client owns the most sought-after brand for selling solid wood furniture and owns the most exclusive yet extensive collection of live edge tables in North America. Down the line after achieving great success, they have expanded their product range in a similar market segment.
The team at Axon Computers Consulting was contacted by the client to develop a full-fledged eCommerce store, obviously to enhance the brand presence and increase their customer base online.
Project Objectives
Everything was about the initial consultation before anything to recommend the right technology stack to build an online furniture store. Upon close collaboration, our goal was to develop a Shopify store with custom functionality.
This would only show product quantities in the storefront from mapped Shopify locations with unique dynamic rules and conditions dependent on the customer’s location. Another feature was meant to be implemented that would show the estimated delivery date for specific SKUs in different languages, along with a unique message.
The Challenge
The bifurcation of location-based quantity display can be implemented with native functionality which does not come in Shopify customization. This is what required totally custom criteria in order to filter the locations. To display the ETA along with a message, customization in Shopify was needed too.
The Solution
Our experienced Shopify experts recommended to create a custom script and a private Shopify App that would allow us to display product quantities depending on unique rules for consumer locations.
We’ve also added functionality to the backend app that allows you to manage SKUs and their estimated arrival dates with personalized messaging in English and French.
